Taste and See Confirmation Program 2011-2012
Each candidate will be signing up for a total of five (5) class topics, one (1) Confirmation retreat, and one (1) Confirmation Conversation (formerly interview) date and time slot. Class topics will be offered one topic per month, with the exception of December, beginning with October and ending in March. The topics will be offered three (3) different dates during the month from 6:30 - 8:30pm. Each topic will be offered at one of the three participating parishes (St. Edward, Corpus Christi or St. Mary's of Crescent). Once the month has passed, so has the opportunity to take that topic. Each date has a limit of 50 openings for St. Edward candidates and will be attended by candidates from each of the parishes. The candidates are asked to attend with an adult (this may also be a recently confirmed teen). Confirmation retreats will be offered on five separate occasions throughout the Faith Formation year at St. Mary's of Crescent only. Families are asked to attend mass at St. Mary's of Crescent at 10:30am. Following mass, there will be a hospitality session (coffee and donuts) and then the retreat for the candidates begins at 12pm. Retreats end at 5:30pm with lunch and snacks being provided for the candidates. Confirmation Conversations (formerly interviews) will take place during the week of February 27th, Monday through Thursday from 6:30-8pm. This is a one-to-one conversation with the candidate and an adult about where they are in the process and their faith journey. There will be 4 dates with 3 time slots to choose from. Candidates are asked to bring the completed questionnaire (to be provided at a later date) and their service logs with them. Conversations usually last about 15 minutes per candidate.Classes

Taste & See Confirmation Retreat Schedule 2011-2012
Retreats are facilitated by Living Hope Ministry. Candidates & their families are asked to attend the 10:30am Mass together before the retreat. After mass there will be hospitality of coffee and lite breakfast for the candidates and guests.

St. Edward’s Inclement Weather and Closing Policy
Monday – Friday:
- If Shenendehowa Schools (Shen) CLOSED: ALL activities** are cancelled that day and evening.
- If Shen DELAYS: ALL activities** are cancelled until 3PM.
- If Shen CANCELS ITS AFTERNOON activities: ALL activities** are cancelled that afternoon and evening.
- If Shen DOES NOT CANCEL ALL OF ITS ACTIVITIES but the weather deteriorates: please check the closings on radio, TV, or click on the TV/Radio Stations below to link to closings. **All activities includes weekday Mass, Faith Formation classes (church and home), and building events.
Saturday – Sunday:
- If an activity at the church falls on a weekend and there is poor weather, please check the radio, TV, or the links below for closings.
