Mission Statement

The mission of the St. Edward’s Parish Nurse Ministry is to integrate the practice of faith with the practice of nursing, so that the faith community will achieve wholness of body, mind and spirit.

The Parish Nurse is a registered professional nurse who serves as a member of the ministry staff to promote health and wholeness.

The Parish Nurse assists, and empowers individuals, groups and families to become more active partners in the management of their own health and health resources.

  • Healthcare Advisor for Hospital Discharge Planning
The Parish Nurse….
does not provide hands-on care such as dressing changes, giving shots, or administering medications.  However, they are available to assist you in obtaining access to technical care providers, when needed.
